Dr. Chet Andrews
The love of my life is my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is why I exist. My beautiful bride Hope and I are blessed with four amazing children (Jake, Jonah, Faith, and Josh). Hope and I cherish the opportunity to raise them up in the joy of Christ Jesus and are understanding more and more every day that, “children are a heritage from the Lord” (Psalm 127:3).
I was born and raised in Cayce, SC where I received my call to ministry at First Baptist Church, Cayce SC. I have been a pastor for over 24 years and I have served churches in Hopkins, SC, Kings Mountain, NC, Duncan, SC, Charleston, SC, and Greer, SC.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of South Carolina. My Master of Divinity is from Gardner-Webb University. In 2014 I completed my Doctor of Ministry from North Greenville University in Tigerville, SC. My doctoral dissertation was on equipping parents to disciple their children.
Health and Fitness are very important to me. I enjoy hiking, biking, and weight training. I want to be physically able to do whatever and go wherever God calls at any moment. I also enjoy following the Gamecocks and the Atlanta Braves. But most of all I enjoy spending time with my family.
Rev. Bobby Baston
Pastor of Children & Youth
Bobby, along with his wife Britley, and their two daughters, Sydney and Emmie, returned to our church in the fall of 2011 after graduating from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and working as a Youth Pastor in Sanford, NC. He was raised in Elberton, GA and graduated from Columbia International University in Columbia, SC.
Bobby would love to be fishing on his days off and watching Star Wars. He also loves to listen to Contemporary Christian music and telling people about his faith in Christ. To win Bobby’s heart or at least his stomach you could offer him any type of cheesecake. If given the opportunity to ask Jesus anything he says he would constantly ask “What’s next? What now? Where?” Come join us to see Bobby’s passion for children and youth.
Rev. Jed Stevens
Pastor of Worship & Administration
Worship is central to all humanity. Every day, that which is our driving force receives our worship. For the Christian, however, all that we do should be a response to the salvation we have received through Christ. Whether we are the church gathered, as on Sunday mornings, or the church spread throughout our city, we are called to worship and glorify God through our work, our family life, and even our play. When we gather on Sunday, we sing because we are a people who have been redeemed from the slavery and death of sin.
Jed received a Bachelor of Arts in Media Ministry from North Greenville University in 2013, and is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Jed & Savannah were married in 2013 and have a beautiful daughter named Piper, who was born in 2016. He loves to read, write, play music, and spend time with his family. He can also often be found searching for a strong cup of coffee or tea. Jed has a passion for seeing the people of God learn to worship with joy and excitement in response to the finished work of Christ on the cross.
