Dr. Chet Andrews

Lead Pastor

The love of my life is my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is why I exist. My beautiful bride Hope and I are blessed with four amazing children (Jake, Jonah, Faith, and Josh). Hope and I cherish the opportunity to raise them up in the joy of Christ Jesus and are understanding more and more every day that, “children are a heritage from the Lord” (Psalm 127:3).

I was born and raised in Cayce, SC where I received my call to ministry at First Baptist Church, Cayce SC. I have been a pastor for over 33 years and I have served churches in Hopkins, SC, Kings Mountain, NC, Duncan, SC, Charleston, SC, and Greer, SC.

I have a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of South Carolina. My Master of Divinity is from Gardner-Webb University. In 2014 I completed my Doctor of Ministry from North Greenville University in Tigerville, SC. My doctoral dissertation was on equipping parents to disciple their children.

Health and Fitness are very important to me. I enjoy hiking, biking, and weight training. I want to be physically able to do whatever and go wherever God calls at any moment. I also enjoy following the Gamecocks and the Atlanta Braves. But most of all I enjoy spending time with my family.

Gale Autry

Administrative Assistant

This is Gale Autry our Administrative Assistant! She is the glue that holds all of us together. Ms. Gale is a native to South Carolina and has been working with us for more than five years now. She does many things for us like posting newsletters, blasts, and even correcting the printer for us when it is acting up! She has many jobs that can’t even be named, but most importantly is how she talks to you. She always greets you with a warm smile and a sweet disposition that you can hear over the phone. Ms. Gale is always giving out her wisdom which we cherish so much and we hope never ends! We are so blessed to have her on our team to serve The Lord and our church along side.

Natasha Hodges

Director of Children’s Ministry

Hi there! My name is Natasha and I'm your Children's Director. I've been married to my high school sweetheart Matthew for 16 years and together we have three fantastic children. We are also licensed foster parents and often have an extra friend or two in tow. I am a Registered Nurse and am privileged to have worked at Lexington Medical Center for the last 18 years.

I grew up in a Christian home, but came to Christ as a teenager after many years of the wonderful people of State Street pouring into me week after week. Those saints changed the trajectory of not only my life but the lives of my children, and God-willing, my children's children. I am blessed to be able to give back in the role of Children's Director. My hope is that each child that comes through our doors feels welcomed and knows that we at State Street love them, and that they are loved beyond measure by the creator of the universe, Christ Jesus.

REnee Kaiser

Assistant of Children’s Ministry

Hello! My name is Renee Kaiser and I am State Street Baptist’s Children’s Ministry Assistant! I am from a little town called Sandy Run here in South Carolina and I have attended State Street Baptist church almost all of my life. I am so excited that I get to give back to the church as they have done with me. I am currently a student at the University of South Carolina where I am studying my undergrad in Early Childhood Education. The opportunity I get to learn how to teach children while also being able to teach them about our Lord and Savior is truly a blessing and I am so thrilled that I have the chance to see how they see Jesus through their lenses. My prayer is that I can teach and enlighten the children about the Bible as much as they have for me!
